As the year draws to a close, I am taking some time to reflect on the evolution of Food Nouveau over the past year. When I started at the beginning of last year, I didn’t know how much time and energy I would pour into it, how much it would come to matter to me or if the endeavor would be fruitful at all. Like all novice bloggers, I wondered, will anybody care? For so long, I had been dreaming of writing about my travel and kitchen experiences, becoming part of the food blogging community, and exchanging with cooks just as passionate about food as I am.
My 2010 year has been graced with many highlights, the most important of which allowed me to grow as a person, as a writer, and as a cook through Food Nouveau. I’m incredibly thankful for the attention I’ve been given, the comments I’ve received and the inspiration brought about by all the talented individuals I’ve met, in person or virtually, over the last year. I am filled with hope and ideas for the next! I hope the food blogging community continues to grow and that we all continue to share our best experiences about this passion that unites us all.
Since many readers have come to Food Nouveau fairly recently, I thought I would gather a roundup of my blog’s top 9 most popular posts. I hope these will culinarily inspire you as well as give you good reasons to come back and visit regularly.
A heartfelt thanks to all of you, and I hope 2011 brings you happy moments that you’ll cherish for a lifetime. Bonne et heureuse année à tous!
As promised, today at noon I randomly drew two lucky winners amongst all the great comments and new Facebook “likes” I got following my Montmartre post. And the winners are:
- Amy M. wins the signed copy of Ready for Dessert;
- Claudia Trevino wins the first edition copy of The Sweet Life in Paris.
I have both of your email and will contact you to get your full mailing addresses. I’m sure these great David Lebovitz books will inspire you a very sweet new year!
Thank you to everyone who entered the contest, reading your comments was a true pleasure.
